We have received several calls and e-mails from customers this week regarding e-mails that are going around that "appear" to be from our office. They are NOT. These are "phishing" e-mails asking for your personal information or to verify your information. Below are examples of e-mails that customers have received. If you do get one of these e-mails, simply delete it and DO NOT click on the links that they provide as they will send you to an unverified website which can potentially contain a virus, malware, or spyware which can harm your computer.

NEVER give our your password or any personal information in an e-mail. This is one way that Identity Theft happens. When you give out this information, you therefore give an unknown source (typically overseas) access to your e-mail account for them to log into and look at your e-mails and also as an account for them to send SPAM out of. When they access your account they are banking on you having information regarding other accounts such as your bank account, online shopping accounts, etc. that they can look at and potentially go to those sites to try to log into those accounts as well. Many hackers are banking on users using the same password for their online accounts as they do their e-mail account.
When it doubt, always feel free to give us a call at the office! Whenever we do send out notices, if it is something regarding your account personally, we will ALWAYS address you by name and it will be sent to your personal e-mail address, not to "undisclosed-recipients". If we do not hear from you by e-mail, we will most likely be contacting you by phone. If it is a e-mail notice that we are sending out to multiple people, it will say "Undisclosed-recipients" but it will always refer you back to our website (www.rebeltec.net) with the notices on our site. We would never direct you to another site as in some of these e-mails.
BE CAUTIOUS! Go with your instints.... if it doesn't look right - there's probably something wrong with it.

People who send out Phishing E-mails are trying to be as sneaky as possible in order to make the e-mails look real and professional so that people will respond to them.
