Rebeltec Webmail Instructions

Note: SPAM Scanning will only work if you have had our office activate SPAM Filtering for your account.

1.  Log into your Rebeltec Webmail Account.

2. Click on the Filters button at the top of the page.
3. Create a new Filter to look like the one below.

Once you put all the information in - click the Add/Modify button to save your new filter. Note: You can also choose to move the SPAM e-mails to your Trash or -Delete-. THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING. DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT LOST E-MAILS IF YOU CHOOSE TO DELETE MESSAGES IDENTIFIED AS SPAM. WE CANNOT RETRIEVE THEM.
Creating this SPAM rule, will put all the e-mails that the new server has marked as "SPAM" in the Spam folder (or where ever you choose). Check this folder often to make sure that the proper e-mails are getting filtered out. If there is an e-mail address that is getting filtered/marked as SPAM, you will want to add that person to your "white list" (more info below) or create another filter with their e-mail address to prevent them from getting filtered or labeled as SPAM.

4. Now create another Filter to look like the one below.
Click the Add/Modify button to save your new filter.
Creating this "Quarantine" rule will make sure that the E-mails you receive from the SPAM server don't get filtered out by the webmail program.

5.  Click the Back button to return to the Inbox.
(FYI - the back button will always take you back to your inbox.)

6. Create a new e-mail  with the "To:" address as tmi-admin@filter.rebeltec.net and put your Rebeltec e-mail address in as the Subject and Send it. This will send an e-mail to the SPAM Server requesting a list of all the quarantined messages and SPAM Settings for your account. The e-mail that you will receive will contain a list of all the messages that the Server has quarantined for your account. It will come from tMI-admin. The e-mail will also contain instructions on how you can adjust your filter levels. 10 is the lowest filtering with .1 being the highest (strictest) filtering. You can also tell the SPAM server how often to send you your quaratined e-mail list. By default it is set to every 24 hours. You can adjust that anywhere from 12 to 24 hours.
If you have not received an e-mail from tMI-admin and you are needing to know what your quarantined list contains all you have to do is send an e-mail back to tmi-admin@filter.rebeltec.net with your e-mail address as the Subject. You do not need to put anything else in the message.

White List verses Black List
In the e-mail that you receive from the SPAM Server (Click here for a sample e-mail), you will notice at the bottom there is a place for your White List and Black List. A White list is a list of e-mail addresses that you want to receive from. A Black List is the list that you DO NOT want to receive e-mails from. A black list would be very similiar to your "Block Sender" list. If you put someone in your Black List - you will never see their e-mails.

Personalize your Rebeltec Webmail
Click the Preferences button at the top. The Preferences is where you can change the look of your webmail account by adjusting the Display Preference. You can also send an Auto Reply to people when they send you an e-mail or if you are on vacation and want to let them know. You can also adjust the text size, color, background image and more. Once you are done making any changes, you must scroll to the bottom of the page and click the SAVE button.

To help filter out more "Junk" e-mail when using the Rebeltec Webmail Account.
Click on the Filters button and create a new filter to look like the one below.
Click the Add button once you are done. Create another one with exactly the same way except put gmail.com in the String instead. Click the add button when you are done. (For some reason when you adjust the filtering options below, the webmail program trys to filter out e-mails from hotmail and gmail.) Click the Back button to return to your Inbox.
Click on the Preferences and scroll down to where you see Message Filtering Options.
Put in the following settings to look like the image below.
These extra settings will help filter out more junk e-mails.
